Goal

IRE is an attempt to create a cross-platform computer role-playing-game engine similar to Ultima 6.

The engine is open-source, under the BSD license.

The engine runs in 640x480 at 15bpp or higher. It is controlled by scripts which are compiled to interpreted code for extra portability.

Versions are available for DOS, Linux, BeOS and Win32.
